4 Grass Mat 63.5cm x 38cm for Pet Dog Potty Tray Training Toilet

Frequently Asked Questions

How big is this grass mat and will it fit my dog?

The Paw Mate Grass Mat measures 63.5cm x 38cm, making it a large-sized potty tray suitable for medium to large breed dogs. The high-quality PVC tray is designed to handle large pets without any problems, so it should accommodate most dog sizes. However, if you have a very large or giant breed, you might want to check the dimensions against your pet's size first.

Does this come with the tray or just the grass mat?

This product includes the grass mat only – the tray is sold separately. The mat features premium quality 35mm long synthetic grass that sits on top of a three-layer system consisting of the synthetic grass, a leak-proof middle layer, and a urine catch tray at the bottom. If you need the complete potty tray system, you'll need to purchase the tray separately.

How do I clean and maintain the grass mat?

The grass mat is washable and tough, designed to last a long time with proper care. We recommend using warm soapy water to clean it regularly. The three-layer design means urine drains down through the synthetic grass so it stays dry – this prevents your pet from stepping on wet grass and makes cleaning easier. Because the toilet has removable parts, you can access hard-to-reach areas to prevent bad odours.

Is the synthetic grass toxic or safe for my pet?

Yes, it's completely safe. The mat is made from premium quality synthetic grass without any toxic materials, so both you and your pet are protected. The 35mm long grass feels natural to the touch and mimics real grass, encouraging your dog to use it for toilet training.

How quickly will it arrive in Australia and can I return it if it doesn't work for my dog?

Yarra Supply offers a 30-day returns policy, so if the grass mat doesn't suit your pet's needs, you can return it within that timeframe. For specific delivery timeframes to your location in Australia, check your shipping options at checkout. The product is popular and selling well, so it's worth ordering soon to avoid stock delays.

Why would I use this instead of puppy pads or newspaper?

This Paw Mate grass mat is a long-term investment that saves you money compared to constantly buying disposable puppy pads or newspaper. It's ideal for indoor-only pets, during toilet training, or when you're unable to walk your dog due to work commitments or bad weather. The realistic grass feel encourages natural toilet habits, and because it's washable and reusable, you'll save significantly over time while also reducing waste.

Does the grass mat stay wet or does it dry properly?

No, the mat stays dry because of its clever three-layer design. Urine drains through the synthetic grass into the leak-proof middle layer and down into the high-capacity urine catch tray at the bottom. This means the grass on top never gets soaked, so your pet won't step on wet grass when they need to use the toilet again. This design also helps prevent bad odours and makes the product more hygienic.
