Frequently Asked Questions

Is this dog kennel suitable for Australian weather?

Yes, absolutely. The i.Pet Dog Kennel is specifically designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, which makes it perfect for the Australian climate. It features a weatherproof design with a UV-resistant asphalt felt roof that protects against sun damage and rain. The elevated base and raised floor design also prevent moisture and dampness from accumulating inside, which is crucial during Australia's wet seasons. The angled roof allows water to drain away quickly, keeping your pet dry and comfortable year-round.

What size dog is this kennel suitable for?

This is a Large dog kennel with overall dimensions of 86cm (length) x 63cm (width) x 60cm (height). It has a weight capacity of 50kg, making it suitable for large breed dogs. The spacious interior prevents your pet from feeling trapped or restricted, and it allows for proper ventilation. However, if you're unsure whether your specific breed will fit comfortably, we recommend measuring your dog and comparing those measurements to the kennel dimensions before purchasing.

Can I use this kennel indoors and outdoors?

Yes, the i.Pet Dog Kennel is versatile and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Thanks to its solid fir wood construction and weatherproof design, it can handle outdoor Australian conditions. For indoor use, its easy-to-clean design and compact footprint make it ideal for a garage, laundry, or spare room. You can place it virtually anywhere that suits your home and your pet's needs.

How long does it take to assemble and is it difficult?

Assembly is straightforward and designed with ease in mind. The package includes an easy-to-understand assembly manual that guides you through each step, so you won't need to hire a professional. Most customers find the installation process manageable as a DIY project. The kennel arrives in one package with all necessary assembly components included, so you'll have everything you need to get your pet's new home set up quickly.

Is solid fir wood durable enough for outdoor Australian conditions?

Yes, solid fir wood is a reliable choice for Australian outdoor use. Combined with the weatherproof design and UV-resistant asphalt felt roof, the kennel is built to last through Australia's sun, rain, and temperature fluctuations. The elevated base with rubber feet also protects the timber from ground moisture and provides optimal stability. To maximise longevity, we recommend occasional cleaning and ensuring water drains properly after rain. This construction is specifically designed to withstand the harsh Australian climate for many years.
